A Pentium 4 CPU and a Microsoft XP operating system can't read a DVD-R?
Whenever I try to insert a DVD-R into a Pentium 4 with MS XP os, it does not show up on the 'My Computer' menu icon. Is there something wrong?
The DVD is entirely blank. But when I insert it into a Pentium 4 CPU and a MS Vista Starter Edition os, it really work, no more reboot/reformat or change anything something like that to the entire CPU.
Answer:
First of all check the DVD R is blank or not. If so no problems you can easily add data into it and after that it's contents will be shown. Secondly try with another DVD which is not blank and already has some Data inside it. If it doesn't show up then you may have some problem with your DVD Drive
