CPU upgrade for my Precision M6300?
ok so i cant get a solid answer from any ware, i want to know what is the max cpu i can get for my laptop here are its specs, my current bios is at A11 and it wont let me update it for some reason. i know someone who has a core 2 duo extreme x9000 but i dont want to buy it and find out it does not work.

Answer:
The Core 2 Duo you mentioned will work on your board. If you are already running a Core 2 Duo then the extreme will work, they are the same socket. As for the BEST processor for your system it would be the Intel Core 2 Extreme processor QX9770 which is basically the Quad core version of the Dual core you mentioned. Your processor is only limited by the socket type in most cases.
