Can my virus protection be causing my internet problems?
I didn't have this problem before I installed trend micro internet security pro 2009 a few weeks ago, it may be the cause, it may be just a coincidence.
Basically my internet connection cuts out completely or becomes extremely slow (<1k). It weird because I can still connect to it via remote desktop via IP so I know it's not a network problem. Is it possible trend micro is causing this? I'm kind of reluctant to turn trendmicro off because it's a fairly new computer and has lots of sensitive documents. I'm running vista ultimate on a dell latitude d630, 4gb ram, 2.5 GHz core duo.

Try uninstalling TM, restart your comp. and then reinstall it. Sometimes this can be an easy fix.
