Frequently Asked Questions...
15.4" Toshiba Intel Centrino Core Duo - Do you have/like this computer?
Hey! Thanks for looking in my question! I need some help. My dad just ordered 2 computers from Shop NBC today. This is what they are:
15.4" Toshiba Intel Centrino Core Duo - Silver
They come with a case, a "fix-it" kit, a printer, and a wireless router. The also have "Windows Vista Premium". I know A LOT about computers, but ABSOLUTLEY nothing about Vista. They will be here in 1 - 2. I have lots of questions:
1. What is the BEST kind of protection against viruses and all of that stuff for a laptop like this?
2. Is Vista anything like Windows XP? If not, is it easy to use? Do you like it? What is it like?
3. Do you have this computer? Do you like it?
One is for my parents and one is for me. I am soooo excited! Any tips on this computer? Any advice about anything would be great! Thanks for your time!

Answer:
If you can use Windows XP, you can use Windows Vista. There are lots of new features and the Control Panel is pretty much completely different, but overall, it's about the same to use it.
For info on new features, see here: http://www.microsoft.com/vista
For anti-virus, I would recommend using the Free version of AVG. You can get it here: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390
I don't have that computer, but Toshiba's are generally top of the line and if it's got Vista, you'll be good to go.
Message me if you have any other questions.
